qualified NICU RN in Ogden, Utah, 84405 About The Position Job
Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: NICU Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per pay period
Experience: Minimum 2 years, preferably with 1 year in a Level III
NICU License: RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, PALS
Must-Have: - Ability to work with families during stressful
hospitalizations - Ability to narrate care and inform parents -
Ability to interact with physicians to report change in condition -
Advanced skills in IV placement, Neonatal Abstinence Scoring,
hypoglycemia management, and emergency response Job Description: -
Work in a 17-bed NICU unit with a capacity to expand to 22 beds -
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 for feeder grower and 1:2 for
higher acuity patients - Collaborate with various staff including
CNAs, unit secretaries, and NICU respiratory therapists - Utilize
equipment such as Ventilators, CR monitors, Vapotherm, CPAP, and IV
systems - Document using Meditech and paper flow sheets - Schedule
three shifts per week, including every other weekend - Participate
in on-call expectations, with one call shift per pay period -
Perform neonatal-specific procedures including ROP exams,
intubation assistance, and central line and chest tube placement -
Participate in a supportive environment surrounded by experienced
RNs and a team of Neonatologists - Provide a high focus on patient
satisfaction and hospital experience - Wear facility-provided
scrubs specific to Women's and Children's departments - Utilize NIC
View remote live stream cameras for family use during hospital
