The intern will work on or be exposed to the following:· Query and validate data from various sources in the Bancorporation's data environment· Use analytic techniques to assess risk in credit portfolios· Assist in comparing the credit portfolio to that of peer banks· Maintain framework used to manage credit risk (evaluate credit metrics)· Various clean-up/data projectsQualifications:· Currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related degree· Exposure to statistical programming software (SAS, R, Python)· Experience working with large data sets· Basic understanding of SQL· Interest in portfolio risk management and statistical analysis· Requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills.· Good communication skills, both verbal and written. · Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills· Ability to make sound decisions and be inquisitive - not afraid to ask questions or make recommendations.· Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc.This internship is not eligible for relocation assistance.
